PARLIAMENTARY WORK
Nathalie was spokesperson on the constitutional amendment:
The freedom for every woman to have an abortion has been enshrined in the Constitution. She stressed that a woman’s right to self-determination must be protected permanently and independently of which direction the political wind is blowing. It is about something fundamental – respect for a woman’s decision in an emergency situation.
She also reported on various laws in labour law and domestic policy:
With the Skills Plan, the imbalance between available and used skills on the labour market is being addressed. More targeted financial incentives have been created to retrain people or improve their skills. In particular, those with the lowest qualifications are being offered prospects.
The Plan de maintien dans l’emploi is receiving better support through the Economic Committee and better funding through the Employment Fund.
The reform of the system governing how much municipalities must pay into the Employment Fund leads to greater solidarity.
Nathalie is also the CSV spokesperson for family, integration and equality issues.
In the fight against poverty, a supplement was introduced for people who cannot afford a nursing home. Housing, as well as essential services such as laundry, telephone or television, are guaranteed.
Nathalie will pay particular attention to the implementation of the various action plans on poverty, gender-based violence and anti-racism.
