PARLIAMENTARY WORK
Until recently, Félix was President of the Committeefor Media and Communications.
This is where work began on reforming the Press Act. The main points are the introduction of special access to information for journalists, an adjustment of press subsidies, and an updated definition of the professional journalist.
The new Media Act was also presented, with the reform of media regulation coming first.
Félix Eischen was the CSV spokesperson on the financing of the CFL bus network. By 2035, 692 million euros will be invested here. The MP for the South also worked to ensure that the TICE bus network is restructured and that its financing is secured. He was co-author of a motion calling on the government to guarantee TICE’s future. This motion was supported by all parties in Parliament.
In an opinion piece, Félix also took a position on the Mercosur trade agreement between the EU and several South American countries. With more trade agreements, our supply chains also become more diversified, he stressed. We are therefore less dependent on China and the USA, and in doing so we strengthen the EU’s resilience. Better trade with an agreement than without, because this guarantees the EU’s high standards.
Félix will focus in particular on issues of mobility and the promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises.
